Could you explain me why the answer is 4100 and not 5000 when done in a calculator???

coz when u manualy add 40 + 30+ 20+10..u get 100 but you think it's 1000, so u add it with other four 1000s...to make it 5000

But Infact it's 1000 + 1000 + 1000 + 1000 + 100...which comes out be 4100

Frankly Speaking.. I got it all wrong.. I got wrong answers to all my questions..

But this post is the best I have come accross on the forum till date.. Just the best.. This post deserves an award.. I just couldnt stop laughing when the answer i got was there but it was wrong.. all 4 wrong.. How stupid can a person be?

The questions i like the most were Mary's father and addition (5000) the first time i got 5000.. then each time after reading the answer of 4100 i calcuated 3 times i got the correct answer.. How could i just be wrong the first time unbelievable but true.. Mary's father.. Again my stupidity, answer was in front of me.. couldnt get the right answer..

Maybe i just got up from sleep so i got it alll wrong
